What is a good way to start MUD-developing from scratch. The language will be java.
    How did you start?
    Did you draw flowcharts/block diagrams?
Did you work in a team?

I am developing a star wars mush.

To give you an idea, I carry 2 binders around with me. They are divided into chapters, and include anything from VNUM listings, todo lists, tutorials, the world (maps), items, coding ideas, planets, factions, chargen, space, economy etc etc.

I then have 7 binders from (in my case) WEG D6 rulebooks, GM guides, the Force Awakens visual dictionary, star wars references, Saga D20 rulebooks…all for reference when needed.

Every system I have (planets, factions, businesses, chargen, global commands etc) have a spreadsheet in excel that is updated as I go.

I’d like to show you a flow chart…But it’s not easy to draw.

@Fantom Did you submit your MUD to the mudbase directory?
